How do I store my meat upon arrival?

The meat should arrive frozen or partially thawed and should be cold to the touch. We suggest you unpack your box and place all meat in the freezer unless you plan to eat it the same or the next day. Partially thawed meat can be safely put back in the freezer. If your meat is completely thawed or warm to the touch, please contact us.

When possible, please recycle your boxes, ice packs, and cooler!

Is my meat safe if I am not home to receive it?

Yes! Your order is shipped frozen with ice packs in a Styrofoam cooler. The meat should stay cold until someone gets home to unpack it. Even though the meat is shipped frozen, it can begin to thaw while in transit to your home – this is still safe.

How is it delivered?

We ship through UPS. All orders will be left at a physical address. They will not require a signature, and you do not need to be home. Peeler Farms is not responsible for any product damage if the receiving party is not present at the time of delivery. Peeler Farms is not responsible for damage done to the product due to an incorrect address. We do NOT deliver to PO boxes.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are shipped on Monday and Tuesday. If you place your order after Tuesday, it will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday. All packages are 2-day shipping unless otherwise noted. For overnight shipping rates, please contact Peeler Farms for a quote. Our meat is shipped freshly frozen, packed with ice packs inside a Styrofoam cooler. Once your order is shipped, we will send an email confirmation and tracking information. Please make sure your address is correct and verified to avoid delays or returns.

All Peeler Farms meat products are processed in our USDA-inspected facility, Dean & Peeler Meatworks, in Poth, Texas.


Accuracy is very important to us. We guarantee you will receive the product you ordered. If a product is out of stock, we will notify you in a timely manner and give you an opportunity to make a substitution.

Given the perishable nature of Peeler Farms products, we employ the highest standards to ensure your product arrives in perfect condition. To do this, Peeler Farms packs the meat in a reusable Styrofoam cooler, a reusable insulated grocery bag and dry ice. Slight variations in shape, size, or weight are possible, due to the natural variance in the size of the animal at processing time.
Additionally, our products do not contain additives or preservatives, which might result in slight variations in color depending on both the aging process and type of product ordered.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns because of the perishable nature of our product. However, if you are ever unsatisfied, please notify us within 24 hrs. and we will replace your order or issue a Peeler Farms gift card. If you are not pleased with your purchase, email us at [email protected]. We will be happy to assist you. Peeler Farms reserves the right to investigate all claims that we believe may be fraudulent or unfounded. Under no circumstance, will a gift card or product replacement represent an admission of any kind by Peeler Farms. Peeler Farms is not responsible for shipping delays or issues caused by the shipping company, failed delivery attempts, or adverse or unpredictable weather.
